Emma Stone at just 16-years-old was told by the Screen Actor’s Guild she wasn’t allowed to use her real name.
It may seem inconceivable now (I mean, Emma Stone just looks like an Emma), but she didn’t always go by the name.
Emma, real name Emily Scott, was told if she really wanted to be an actress she’d have to change it – a practice that’s not that uncommon in Hollywood if you want to make it big. “You know, my real name is Emily. But it was taken at SAG,” she told W magazine .
Surely the Emily Scott they had in mind wasn’t the model, DJ and presenter?
