During a press briefing on October 5 with White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre and National Security Council spokesman John Kirby, reporters jokingly questioned them about the topic dividing the country, if the songstress and the NFL player are the real deal. “Does President [Joe] Biden think it’s real?” one person asked. “The relationship? In the vernacular of the National Security Council, I can neither confirm nor deny those reports,” Kirby quipped. “I will happily take the question back to our analysts.”
